Charleston Main Streets - West Side will host the 6th Ice Cream and the Arts presented by Dancing Dog Ice Cream and Ellen's HomemadeIce Cream in the rapidly developing Elk City district of the West Side as part of FestivALL. This year's FREE festival bring plenty of ice cream highlights chalk art. The Chalking Dad, Erik Greenawalt, from Pittsburgh, PA will create a 8' x 20' masterpiece, and eight local artists will join him to create their own 4' x 4' chalk creation along Tennessee Ave.
Additionally, Ice Cream and the Arts will feature take-away craft stations, street games, and, of course, FREE ice cream. Special "hard" float options are available to attendees over 21 years of age. Participatory art activities are to be determined.
The WV Department of Environmental Protection’s Watershed Improvement Branch is sponsoring Ice Cream in the Arts as a single-use plastic FREE event.
