HallowEast Returns October 27th - 29th!
HallowEast presented by Encova Insurance returns for a 14th year in 2022. Charleston's largest Halloween celebration will be three days once again beginning on October 29th and culminating with a costume party on the street on October 29th.
The three day celebration of everything weird and creepy begins with a brand new event at The Clay Center: Murder in the Museum "Mothman Mayhem." Put your critical thinking skills tot he test with this interactive murder mystery event that will range through the museum. This 21+ event will include a cash bar, on-site food truck, and two different sessions. Capacity is 150 and ticket prices are $25 per person.

Continue your HallowEast celebration on October 28th with HallowEast's longest running event, ArtMares presented by Cipriani & Werner, and the Friday Night Freak Show presented by Electric 102.7 at Appalachian Power Park. Experience talented artisans showing their scary side during the horror-themed ArtMares art gallery from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM. The event is FREE to the public. After ArtMares, stay from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM to for a free showing of the Hocus Pocus.
Howl-O-East returns for our furry friends on October 29th from 2 PM - 4 PM at the Capitol Market. Join us for some (not so) frightening fun with your furry friend! A canine costume contest, “Pawcasso” painting, photo opportunities, dog washing, and a Bark or Treat promenade for all our costume clad canines. This boo bash features music by WTSQ and adorable adoptable pets from KCHA!
Finally, the freaks come out on the night of October 29th. The annual Costume Crawl presented by Spriggs Distributing kicks off at 6:00 PM, as attendees dance along Washington St. and enjoy drink special at our East End bars (Red Carpet Lounge, Starlings Coffee & Provisions, Tricky Fish, & Empty Glass) before catching the trolley at 10:00 PM to Leon Sullivan to enjoy more specials from Lee Street Lounge. The Crawl for the Crown Costume contest returns at 8:50 PM with a special prize going to the two Darlings of Doom! Entertainment will be provide by DJEJ.
